Kids ATV’s

As I my thoughts were traveling in all possible directions to get a great gift for my kid this New Year, I found one of my friend’s online videos to see his kid driving an ATV with all fun and pleasure. The moment I saw the video, I decided to gift one to my son.

I started searching online for the best available brands and offers, I was surprised to see that the options available online was really incomparable to what I had in my mind. There are plenty of option beginning right from mini ATV’s to high power 250cc ATV’s, I was also able to find few offering customized ATV’s for kids.

The next part is I was worried more about the safety. I made sure in my mind that I should see to all available safety features more than looking into offers and discounts in the cost. Then I started researching about the safety features of kids ATV’s.

o A special device called speed restrictor is attached to almost all available kids ATV’s, and the best part of it is that you can adjust and set the maximum speed between 5 to 10 miles per hour, so that the kid is totally protected when it is learning.

o Though not required, it is always advisable to get an ATV attached with a head light; sometimes it may help you in emergency.

o Ensure that the braking system is perfect and advanced so that the kid shall have complete control of the machine.

o Check out for emergency engine cut off options that are available with the ATV’s. You can attach a long string or a chord to the emergency engine cut off control, mostly it is present at the backside of the ATV. By doing this, you can just walk along behind your kid when it is learning and in case of any emergency; the emergency engine cutoff control can be pulled through the chord which completely stops the engine immediately.

o The next thing is the shock absorbers. Buying a Kid’s ATV attached with a rear mono shock absorber is the best option. It gives a lot of cushioning and balance to the kid.

o Other features that you have to look into may include trying and buying a less noisy vehicle, an electric start, and an automatic transmission option for easy handling.

4×4 Accessories

4×4 Accessories are a lot of fun to put on your car, but they can be incredibly frustrating and expensive if you rush into it without putting some serious time into planning what you want. As I have said many times, the best four wheel drive is built, not bought. You can go and purchase a great four wheel drive from someone else, but it’s almost guaranteed that there will be a few things that you don’t like about it.

What you need to do then is consider what you can do to change the car, to make it more reliable, comfortable and capable. There are so many options when it comes to 4×4 Accessories. Some of these are only to improve the looks, whilst others will make your car easier to take camping, and others will allow you to get to that camping spot without breaking or denting anything!

Some 4×4 Accessories include Suspension Lift Kits, Body Lift Kits, Bull Bars, Side Steps, Rear Bars, Snorkels, Electronic Chips, Exhaust modifications, GPS systems, slide out drawer sets, inverters, overhead consoles, CB Radio’s, sound systems and a huge range of other bits and pieces

The best tip that I can give when it comes to building the best car for yourself is to spend a lot of time researching and planning. Its common knowledge among the more experienced to put all of the heavy items on your car before touching the suspension, but its something that a lot of people miss. A little tip like that can save you several thousand dollars (when you purchase soft suspension and it sags because the car wasn’t weighed down then you have to sell it for a huge discount, realizing a big loss).

Consider exactly what you need the car for, what modifications are the most important (often the functionality and comfortableness should come first!)

Different Styles of ATV Tires

People who enjoy the sport of riding ATVs know that there are many different manufacturers who produce these machines. They are also aware of the different manufacturers and style of ATV tires that are sold too. Anyone who is new to this sport should know the different types of rubber and what types of terrain they are designed to be used for. Having this information will allow new riders to make the right choice when choosing their tires.

Most new machines come with stock tread that are basically good for various types of terrain that beginning riders would ride on. These tires typically have a good amount of tread that will help the rider gain traction on dry or wet ground. These tires are typically not the best to be used in sand or large amounts of mud. These tires are often referred to as trail tires.

ATV tires that are best used in muddy areas are referred to as mud tread. These ATV tires are much lighter than the typical trail tires are. This type of tire is also much tougher, and more aggressive, than typical trail tires are too. Mud tires get more traction than other types of tires do in the mud. This additional traction allows riders to ride through larger amounts of muddy terrain without getting stuck.

Another type of popular ATV rubber is the sand, or paddle, tread. These tires are characteristic by the paddles spaced out on the tread. This style of tire is most commonly used in very sandy areas. The paddles allow the tires to grab the loose sand and gain traction as the machine travels across the terrain. Many people use paddle tires only in the back with their front stock tires remaining on the machine. Other people use a set of front tires that are smooth except for a long narrow paddle running across the middle of the tire.

There are many different manufacturers, and styles, of these different types of ATV rubber. Each style has it’s own advantages and disadvantages. The style that a person chooses will be based on the individual’s riding style and preference of aggressiveness in their tires.

Cargo Trailer

Purchasing a Cargo Trailer

A cargo trailer can be used to carry anything from your landscaping and construction tools to a motorcycle, car, or construction vehicle. Cargo trailers can be open or enclosed and are available in a variety of materials with options ranging from a ramp door, to air-conditioning and heat, to lighting and floor covering. There are many variables to consider when choosing the right cargo trailer for your needs. This is a list of some of the biggest factors involved in making such a purchase:

1. New or Used – As you search the internet or Yellow Pages, you’ll find options for new and used cargo trailers. Purchasing a new trailer gives you the freedom to pick and choose from customized options offered by the company. You’ll get the exact equipment you want, right from the time of purchase. Buying a used trailer may save you some money but you may be limited in adding custom options. If the company offering used trailers also offers customizable options, be sure to price out the options to make sure you’re still getting a good deal on the price.

2. Enclosed or Open Deck Trailers – Can your cargo withstand the open air elements? Or would it be better served to be transported under cover? If you’re in the market for a car hauler, you can choose from an open runner deck car hauler or an 8.5 foot-wide enclosed car hauler trailer. As with the car haulers, motorcycle trailers also come in both open deck and enclosed. This really depends on your needs and preferences. Other examples of open deck trailers include landscape, utility, deck-over, and boat trailers. Enclosed trailers include toy haulers, motorcycle, concession, livestock, and stacker trailers.

3. Single or Tandem Axle – Cargo trailers come in single and multiple axle varieties. Single axles can accommodate a smaller size trailer such as a 5×8 foot enclosed trailer, a bicycle trailer, or an open deck motorcycle trailer. Tandem axles are appropriate for longer trailers equipped to carry heavy loads, such as a car hauler or deck over trailer. As you consider the size of the trailer you need, the choice for single or tandem axle will become more apparent.

4. Length and Width – Cargo trailers are available in a wide range of sizes from the small utility trailer or landscape trailer, to an 8.5×50 foot gooseneck enclosed trailer or a 10 ton pintle hitch tandem dually deck-over trailer. If you know the particular cargo you need to haul, you’ll have a good idea of what size trailer you need. If you’re hauling equipment and think you have a growing inventory, then you might want to consider purchasing a size larger than what is appropriate right now.

5. Financing Options – When shopping for a cargo trailer, you must consider cost and how it fits with your budget. Talk to trailer companies about the financing options they offer or can recommend. This is a big dollar purchase and it’s important to be smart about considering all your payment options. You want to be sure it’s a investment that pays off in the long run.

There are even more options to consider when shopping for a cargo trailer and these are only some of the biggest points to take into account. There are a seemingly infinite number of customizable options for cargo trailers and you’ll want to do your research to make sure you get everything you need and want when you purchase your trailer.

The part which redesigned is the headlights with new design and the cabin is more spacious because the increased space between the front seat and second row. Additionally, the structure of body and frame is strengthened as well.

The interesting thing is the additional of sophisticated devices that make the driver of Prado more comfortable and exciting when through any road conditions from smooth road to off-road.

Multi-terrain Monitor

The special technology feature from Land Cruiser Prado is the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) which makes the damping that generated by the car fits with road surface conditions. In the latest version, there is also additional a Multi-terrain Monitor.

Multi-terrain Monitor display images from cameras that placed at all four sides of the vehicle. With this way, the driver can see the road surface conditions at six surrounding areas, front, rear, front side, and rear right and left.

By using KDSS, the stability of Prado is more stable when driving on the pavement or off-road. For the latter, Prado is also equipped with crawl control. As a result, the ability of Prado in various off-road terrains becomes more stable.

Interior

The windshield uses material that can muffle the noise. In this way, the sound of the wind from the front can be prevented into the cabin. Remarkably, the whole of the body equipped with sound-dampening materials so that the cabin is truly quiet.

The effort of Toyota provides the great silencer related with a sophisticated audio system that used in the Land Cruiser Prado. Toyota calls it “Super-live Sound System”, designed by the development themes of Dotou, that is 465-watt amplifier and 14 speakers that optionally placed throughout the cabin.

The system is capable of producing acoustic space with impressive bass tones, a clear high voice and much better if compared with surround sound system 5.1. Like other modern car audio, the interior of the Land Cruiser Prado is also equipped with a plug for an iPod or MP3 player.

BMW Performance Chip, Installation and Testing the Horse Power

The BMW performance chip is amazing, the design of the chip installes perfectly to the engine. Remove the performance chip from the package and plug into the iat sensor. The iat is located around the mass air flow sensor. If the iat is separated it will be located on the air tube itself and you should be able to find a picture of it in your hanes guide.

Find the positive and negative cables and remove them. They simply pull right out. The two wires are made to be removed and tied back for this performance chip to be installed.

After plugging the chip in, reconnect the battery and start the car and let it idol for about ten minutes. If it is idling good and the engine sounds like everything is flowing ok your ready to give it a test drive.

When you get the BMW performance chip in you will notice an immediate increase in horse power in every gear. first gear is amazing the horse power that is increased is nearly double and second and third are extremely powerful as well. Fourth and fifth gear come quick and that is when you will notice that the car is gaining gas mileage over regular drives.

Disconnect the batter so the the chip is not exposed to any current of electricity when you first plug it in. If by any chance you do fry the chip you can use the lifetime warranty that comes with each chip to get a new one. But a good rule of thumb is to just unplug the battery before installing the chip.

The BMW performance chip send out a signal that with in 1 second is returned to the ECU of the engine. This signal reprograms the car and changes the fuel, oxygen, and spark levels to enhance the motor and change the factory setting to maximum gain. If the BMW performance chip is removed the original settings will become active again.

By using oxygen more efficiently extra horse power is gained, generally 35 to 55 and the cars overall miles per gallon is increased by 15.

This also improves the engine life of the BMW motor. Running on a better fuel ratio is beneficial to the longevity of the car life. This chip will save you money in the long run by depleting chemicals from the engine of the car.

Water Powered Cars For Better Efficiency

The process of using water to power cars involves passing an electrical current from the cars battery, through a canister of water, which is called electrolysis. During electrolysis a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gas is produced from the water, commonly referred to as HHO or Brown’s gas. This gas mixture can be combined with gasoline and fed into the cars engine whilst it is running. When combustion of the fuel and HHO gas mixture occurs in the engine, its burns more efficiently and with more power resulting in the vehicle travelling further for the set amount of gasoline used.

The advantages of using water as an additive for your vehicle are as follows:-

(1) Harmful exhaust emissions and pollutants are reduced, as you are adding extra oxygen into the combustion cycle, and combined with the hydrogen it burns the gasoline hotter and more efficiently, leaving less unburnt fuel.

(2) Fossil fuels are a declining resource, and the price of gasoline in the past few years has increased significantly. By combining HHO gas from your water source with gasoline, you can effectively improve your gas mileage by up to 40% or more. This means direct money savings of many hundreds of dollars.

(3) Reduced engine operating temperature, removal of carbon deposits in your engine, and a longer life expectancy for your cars engine.

(4) With the world currently focused on global warming and people wanting to do what they can to go green, you are effectively reducing your carbon footprint by using water to power your car, as you are travelling further whist using the same amount of fuel.

(5) Setting up a water powered system on your vehicle is not expensive, and can be done easily for anybody in a DIY situation, as most required components can be sourced from hardware stores.

The seasons are changing, time to ensure your vehicle is protected. Whether you live in the Northeast or Southwest the summer sun can be damaging. You also need to be concerned about dust, dirt, bird droppings and tree sap not to mention hail. Car covers can prevent this sort of damage. The UV rays of the sun can fade the finish and interior. Dust and pollen can ruin that clean shine you worked so hard to achieve. If you use a car cover, you will not need to wash your vehicle nearly as often.

Bird droppings and tree sap are not only unsightly but left unattended can also damage the finish and are difficult to remove. It is as if they become one with your car if you don’t wash them off right away. Summer brings thunderstorms and possibly hail which can really take a toll on the finish of your vehicle. If you have a quality car cover, your car will be protected form all the environment can throw at you. They also work well preventing human damage such as scratches from someone leaning against the car or dings from your neighbors child when he runs into it with his bike.

There a many options today when purchasing a car cover for your vehicle. They also make boat covers, truck covers, SUV covers, snowmobile covers, ATV covers and Ski Doo covers to name a few. Just about any vehicle you have, recreational or otherwise, can be covered today. Depending on where you store that vehicle, there is a cover to fit your specific needs. The economy covers are great for garage or car port storage and light outdoor use. Waterproof covers are safe to use in all types of weather conditions which makes them great wherever you live. Tyvek covers offer premium waterproof protection for areas that receive unusually high rainfall. The ultimate in protection is the 4 layer fleece lined covers which offer an extra measure of protection for the finish with the soft fleece lining as well as the waterproof and UV protection that is so important.

The best place to purchase a cover is online. There are many companies out there that can help. Using a search engine will get you there. Try Google, Yahoo or Bing. Just enter your search terms i.e car cover, truck cover etc. Be sure to shop around for the best price and make sure to investigate the return policies and shipping and handling fee’s. Some companies offer free shipping, some do not. Always ensure you order the correct size as returning can be a hassle and the return shipping fee’s will be on you if you ordered the wrong size. Most sites have a section on how to ensure the correct size.

Compact Car Reviews – Honda Civic Vs Honda Fit Vs Mini Cooper

A lot of compact cars in the past years have been upgrading their cars and what better comfort they can give to the buyers is what brings them their boost in sale. Let me give you a few reviews on a few compact cars. Let me start with the Honda Civic. We can say that the Honda Civic has consistently great reviews with the comfortable interior, overall long- term reliability and the ride quality, which a lot of people say that it is quite fun to drive. It also has excellent fuel economy. The Honda Civic Si Model is known to accelerate quite well. It also has a strong resale value and have good safety ratings as well.

The only thing that doesn’t fare well with the Honda Civic is that the well-equipped version is quite expensive. There is also a limited availability of some options. It’s also a firm ride; due to the fact that some find it jarring in rough roads and the road noise can be heard from the inside.

The Honda Fit on the other hand, is the most highly regarded compact car in reviews. It is quite fun to ride on just as well as the Honda Civic. The handling is quite sporty and you get excellent fuel economy as well. The interior is well designed and flexible. It also has also good crash test results. This car though is not as affordable than most competitors. It’s also has a leisurely acceleration with automatic. Like the Honda Civic it also has a firm ride and the road and engine noise can be heard.

Another car I’d like to point in your direction is the sporty compact car, which is the Mini Cooper. If you want an attractive and retro style car then this one is for you. It is very fun to drive this car and the handling is sporty just like the Honda Fit. It has a powerful, optional turbo engine and it also has excellent resale value.

It isn’t that comfortable though. You get stiff, choppy ride when you are driving the Cooper. The interior is very tight and the rear seat is quite small, which would prove to be very uncomfortable. The cargo space is quite small as well. The dashboard control ergonomics and the options boost up the cost real fast. The Mini Cooper Clubman’s rear doors actually obstruct rear visibility as well.
